Well, in the ongoing saga of a guy who’s not been to the dentist more than a handful of times in the past 30 years, I think I may have discovered a few breakthroughs.
First off, study. I think that even if you have an awesome dentist situation – full-ride insurance and an awesome, state-of-the-art dentist – you’re still going to want to understand your temple (1st Corinthians 3:17). It’s a life-long process, I’m sure. I know I’m just beginning and the more I learn the more I’m amazed by what I’m capable of learning and just how many interesting factoids, concepts and paradigms are out there to learn!
Secondly, stop drinking high fructose corn syrup, phosphoric acid and aspartame… a.k.a soda/pop. It’s evil, nasty and bad for ya! When I was framing (building houses), I used to “quench” my thirst with 2 to 4 LITERS a day. The two dentists I spoke with about my current condition made it abundantly clear that what I’m suffering now was most likely caused by that foolishness.
Thirdly, floss. I just didn’t do this well growing up. I confess. Horrible at it. But I’m learning. And I would encourage ANYONE who isn’t flossing 2 xs a day (at least!) to begin. It’s really good for you as the bacteria that builds between your teeth can, if it leads to a breach in the safety barriers around gums and teeth, cause heart problems and other systemic issues … in your temple.
Finally, look into this stuff whether you’re having problems with your teeth or not. It’s called MMS or “Miracle Mineral Solution.” Yes, that’s a pretentious-sounding name. But the more research I do on the stuff the more blown away I am at what this (very) simple natural chemical is doing in people’s lives. I’m no doctor, but what it’s doing for pretty awesome. I’m hoping for full recovery and even some enamel recovery! Check it out:
UPDATE: Wow. As quick as I put up this ad for MMS, the FDA has shut it down in America, it appears. Have they also shut down fluoride in our water system? Mercury in our teeth (and vaccines)?
